Straight answers
Is the server managed or unmanaged?
Unmanaged by default — it’s yours to run as you wish. But our sysadmins will install and configure widely-used open source software, troubleshoot problems (out of disk, out of memory, exploited-server recovery, migrations), and we’ll often spend an hour or two on setup at no charge. If you want us to build and look after the whole stack, tell us what you need.
What if I get stuck?
File a ticket — you don’t even need an account; guest tickets take just a name and email. Median first reply is 43 minutes. Live chat is available during NZ office hours for quick questions.
What’s the minimum commitment?
One month. No long-term contracts, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Can I change my server’s resources later?
Yes — memory, disk and data transfer, from the control panel, whenever you like, with a pricing preview first. You can even move to a different data centre yourself.
Which Linux distros can I run?
Debian (currently defaulting to Debian 13 “Trixie”), Ubuntu, Arch, AlmaLinux and the Red Hat family. Optional control panels: Virtualmin, cPanel or Plesk (licensed panels billed at your own licence cost — panel choice doesn’t change our price).
Are you the cheapest?
No. There’s always someone cheaper, and their support queue shows it. Our value is decent performance, honest resourcing, and sysadmins who help you out of a pinch. That said — got a competitor’s quote? Send it over and we’ll try to match it.
What about emergencies?
On-call staff respond to server-down emergency tickets 24/7, 365 days a year. Core staffing is NZ office hours with light weekend cover.
