Update @ June 7, 2012 4:29:22 AM UTC: All the backups were situated, but we still need to swap a drive out here, and rebuild an array.  We are working on this now, and the array will be rebuilding for the next several hours.  Some larger drives were added here in a RAID6 array, which is the reason for the extra work here.

Update @ June 6, 2012 4:11:00 AM UTC: All VPS conversions have been completed, so no more VPS downtime will be required.  There is still some work required to move old backups to a new partition, which may cause some slower performance due to the disk i/o and load caused by this.  We will be moving these backups to the new partition tomorrow starting at 20:00 UTC time, 6th June.  Maintenance will be completed by 04:00 UTC 7th of June:

host305.rimuhosting.com is one of our older hosts, setup before we implemented LVM backed storage.  We have found this storage backend performs better and specifically allows backups to run quicker.  This requires some software updates (which have already been performed ahead of schedule today).  Additionally, we will be adding some additional drives to this host.  There will be some downtime required for each VPS to be converted to the new storage backend.  About 2-4 minutes of downtime per GB of filesystem size.  So a 4GB VPS would require about 8-16 minutes of downtime.

We are scheduling these conversions to begin on Tuesday, 5 June 2012 at 22:00:00 UTC time.  Our maintenance window will close at 04:00 UTC on 6th June.
